Leaving a legacy.

Puppy dog eyes just don't wash with me.
Gerry Adams has offered to meet the Orange Order to discuss parades, now the question has to be asked why would the Orange Order want to meet Gerry Adams? Adams holds no mandate in the North and as such can offer nothing to the Orange order, bar a few soundbites and create a few photo opportunities for himself.

What Adams is trying to do is to come across as a great unifier, bringing together the warring tribes. The truth is Gerry Adams needs to create a legacy because lets face it, his current legacy is a load of balls except for his fancy British title, 'Crown Steward and Bailiff of the Manor of Northstead'.

What has Adams achieved during his tenure as head of two parties in Ireland? After all $inn $ein can't claim to be one party as they promote different policies in the different areas. Not true I hear the $hinner sheep bleat! Bollocks I say to you.

But look at Gerry Adams legacy, Adams was MP for West Belfast for well over a decade.

Figures based on children living in workless households or households entitled to

2011 figures state that West Belfast ranked at number three in a league table of UK constituencies worst affected by unemployment.

Life expectancy in Belfast West is 70.6 years for males and 77.1 years for females, the lowest of all Constituencies in both cases.

In West Belfast the death rate due to suicide and undetermined intent, is the 2nd highest of all Constituencies.

The Hospital admission ratio due to self harm episodes, West Belfast is the Constituency with the 2nd highest rate.

The proportion people claiming unemployment-relate d benefits is higher for Belfast West than the overall Northern Ireland figure, the Constituency with the highest proportion.

A tongue isn't just for lying!
Compared to the Northern Ireland rates, Belfast West has a much higher overall crime rate and higher rates of violent crime, burglary, theft, criminal damage and anti-social behaviour.
Alarming figures confirm that the mortality rate for cancers, respiratory disease and circulatory disease are all higher in West Belfast than the Nothern Ireland average.

It's no wonder Gerry Adams has to try and create a fictional legacy, the truth is pretty hard to stomach. God help the people in Louth!
